Definitely a bittersweet kind of moment. I love my clinical class. Definitely a great group, and wish I can continue through school with all of them in my clinicals. But it was sad to say goodbye to some patients today especially after knowing they don't have many visitors (if any at all) come by to see them and just give them the kind of company they want, going towards their own "crossroads." But I have definitely learned a lot and taking a lot with me on this journey I've begun. After class, we all went to Tourquise, a Turkish restaurant. YUM!!! I didn't even get to take a picture of the baklava since I was being a pig and dove straight into it. Here are a few pictures of your future RNs :)

Us breaking bread as we go to our next classes in 2 weeks
So, since I love food so much, this blog wouldn't be a blog if I didn't share my food photos. I didn't get to take as many as I had hoped because once the food came out, all I kept thinking about was eating :-T
I LOVE CARBS!!!!

One of the things Miranda and I shared
The place we ate at was really good, however I must say I have had better baklava at a Greek restaurant off of Military and 90 near Lackland Airforce Base called Mina & Dimi's. OMG!! Their baklava just melts into your mouth as fireworks start popping everywhere. It's definitely the BOMB DOT COM! And the rice at this restaurant we went to seemed to use an instant rice name brand like Uncle Ben's. But the red cabbage was great, had a slight tart crisp that was a perfect contrast for the lamb. Overall rating for this restaurant is a 2 out of 5. Did I eat it all? Yes. But If you want a better bang for your money, I'd go to Mina & Dimi's. Their food is wonderful and definitely a 4.5 rating in my books! Not a full blown 5 only because the space capacity is smaller, and the baklava isn't always there because they run out so quickly :-T
That's all for now kids, till next time.....
