Getting it in

So I just took my finals for my first class yesterday, and I didn't do how I wanted/thought I would do. But I'm happy with my grades and just trying to see the positive in any circumstance that comes. I'm still currently waiting for my grades to be posted where as many of my friends from other classes have already received their final grades. Don't ask me what's with the delay. I've been wondering that for a while...

Anyway, after finals a couple of friends and I went to Lulu's Bakery. I always passed by it on my way home from school, and I've been wanting to try it out because it's not a chain. It's known to be one of the oldest bakerys here in SA. So as a food fanatic, I just had to go try it out. Walking in, I noticed this huge picture of this HUGE CINNAMON ROLL! When I say huge, I mean 3lbs!!!! I couldn't see it in myself to order it without my family there. They are also known for their country fried steak. HUGE!! (I guess everything really is bigger in Texas, because these things were GI-NORMOUS!) Again, I just couldn't order anything "spectacular" without my family. So I ordered 2 breakfast tacos and coffee, while my other friends ordered breakfast plates.

So this is one of my tacos. I thought they would be smaller, but they were bigger than I thought

This was Will's plate. Elisha's plate came in blurry (pictures via Thunderbolt phone)

This was the cinnamon roll. Of course I couldn't leave without asking another table if I could take a picture of their roll. There were 6 adults at this table, and let me tell you, I don't think they were able to finish this. This seems like a challenge for yours truly!!

3 lbs

So of course, I meet up with David and I'm so eager to show him this 3lb cinnamon roll I just witnessed, and he just starts laughing..... and then the sarcasm came out. Sooooo, he's been wanting to take me to this place because he and I just love places like this where they're famously known for something, and here I am, going without him. LMBO. Poor guy, lol, when we were in Japan, I got to experience the Ice Bar without him. (It's literally a bar with Ice everywhere... They supply you with a thermal jacket and gloves before going in) And now I went to this place without him. Ooops! LOL I couldn't stop laughing needless to say and I am still laughing as I'm typing this.

So my verdict.... I give this place a 3 for now. That's because I didn't try the fried steak and cinnamon roll. My tacos were decent. They served Will some extra crispy hashbrowns, but Elisha's turned out ok. The atmosphere is a diner feel to it. This will get revisited in the near future so I can give it a fair rating. Overall experience was a 3 though.
